How do you decide on them? Even more challenging, how do you keep them in the predetermined order? We could go a step further and ask, how do we keep them in any order at all?
I am convinced that prayer is my only hope. Funny how we know what should come here, there, and in the future. How quickly those priorities can shift when we aren’t purposefully engaged in ordering them.
When I start the mornings with good prayer time, asking for guidance and reflecting on God’s answers, my days are peaceful. Sometimes they are productive, sometimes they are purely the gift of rest.
Equally obvious to me is how quickly life feels chaotic, wasted and overwhelming when I skip that prayer time. My priorities become distant ideas with no roots to help them grow into full action.
Life is short, I don’t have time to waste. Each of my days is numbered. There is a time for everything the Bible tells us. Soooo, priority #1 is God. The rest will fall into line if I keep my eyes on the reason I prioritize.
Loved this, Christa, so true.
