A day on the farm

We felt blessed to spend a day on the farm my father in law has talked about so much. My husband comes from a family of dairy farmers, and we were able to spend time with some of his family on our trip. His aunt spent the day teaching us all about daily life in their world. We experienced calves born just that day, trying to get sturdy legs to stand on. The girls helped their cousin feed bottles to babies, we had lots of laughs being all together and loved riding the 4wheelers all around. Art’s grandma lives there too and was surprised to see us walk in her door!
The girls had so much fun they were invited to spend the night the next day, making new memories with new family. As dusk came, we rode around on the 4 wheelers, crossing the fields where straw was being harvested until it was too dark to see. Fireflies were everywhere, the weather was perfect and the moments were treasured. Farm life is hard work, every day. We’ll never forget our day being onlookers into the lifes of our family roots.
