Why are calendars important?

Standard

I really debated internally. Yes, it might be useful. Sure it is pretty, but will I really use a desk calendar? For three years I have purchased a desk calendar for writing, for three years I have used about the first two months, maybe May, perhaps a few stray entries in Fall.

I bought another one for 2010. There is something about the opportunity to start fresh, to see the hope on each page that might be filled with future writing notes. To see the potential is why I bought it.

That said, it can also strike fear in my creative mind. “Oh bother, what if I don’t fill it out? What if this year is a dry one?” Ahhh, then a reminder that I am writing for God. If he has the will to use me, my calendar is ready and waiting. No pressure this year, just hope. The start of dreaming again.
