Reading an interview with Sheila Walsh in Homecoming magazine produced this little gem. She says, “But there’s something about the ministry of presence, just being there. And I think that’s what women need desperately–just to know–come as you are.” It struck me because too often I hear women share their feelings of inadequacy when people are in need. I certainly have felt that myself. We don’t need to provide all the answers, or even one answer. We can just be, listen. What a profound insight.
