“Print Missionaries”

Standard

I was reading a beautiful essay today by writer Linda Gilden, who talked of the joy of being “print missionaries“.  The words won’t leave me. I have always wanted to go serve God, but unable to do so in the capacity I considered to be a missionary. Over the years I have learned we serve God wherever he places us, and my life is rich. My gift of writing reaches farther than I would know, all for Him. I too, join her ranks as a print missionary.  She quoted 2 Corinthians 3:3 “You show that you are a letter from Christ…written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”  We all represent those letters, no matter what our life station or situation. Rejoice in the chances we do have to reach those around us, and watch for what they will reach in our own hearts in return.

About christasterken

Committed to a life of purpose. Learning to live abundantly. Embracing creativity. Questioning. Delighting in the comforts of home and family. Determining not to settle only for how things are, but how they could be. Writing is part of who I am, so I trust In God who gave the gift to show me how I can serve Him through it. That is my life…one word at a time. Psalm 89:11a“Teach me your way , O Lord, and I will walk in your truth”
