Celebrating Dr. Seuss

Standard

Today is Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  Have you considered the impact of his words?  His are among the first books I remember.  In A People House was my favorite. It would be impossible to estimate the number of times I read it, and delighted in reading it to my children.

They remember with fondness Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?, Green Eggs and Ham, and There’s A Wocket In My Pocket!

If you haven’t read these in a while, dust them off and delight in the silly rhymes. If you have young children, check out the craft ideas at this link to create your own Seussical memories.

About christasterken

Committed to a life of purpose. Learning to live abundantly. Embracing creativity. Questioning. Delighting in the comforts of home and family. Determining not to settle only for how things are, but how they could be. Writing is part of who I am, so I trust In God who gave the gift to show me how I can serve Him through it. That is my life…one word at a time. Psalm 89:11a“Teach me your way , O Lord, and I will walk in your truth”
