Easter In My Heart

Standard

PIcked up a little gem of a book a few years ago, Easter In My Heart b Joseph Wheeler. I have rarely seen a book of Easter stories and this is truly engaging. I love this quote he used as the introduction by Phillips Brooks, author of the song “O Little Town of Bethlehem”.

Let every man and woman count themselves imorotal. Let him catch the revelation of Jesus in His Resurrection. Let him say not merely, “Christ is risen,,” but “I shall rise…In me there is something that no stain on earth can tarnish and no stroke of the world can erase. I,too, am a part of God and have God’s immortality in me.”

About christasterken

Committed to a life of purpose. Learning to live abundantly. Embracing creativity. Questioning. Delighting in the comforts of home and family. Determining not to settle only for how things are, but how they could be. Writing is part of who I am, so I trust In God who gave the gift to show me how I can serve Him through it. That is my life…one word at a time. Psalm 89:11a“Teach me your way , O Lord, and I will walk in your truth”

  1. Whoa, Christa! I’ve never seen a better description of what Easter is all about. I’m passing this along, if you don’t mind…
