Many people lament the high cost of lemons, myself included. Growing up where citrus was plentiful can spoil a person when the price tag increases dramatically. It is sometimes hard to part with the occasional dollar per lemon price tag. Reality check. There is so much that a lemon can enhance. Number one on my list is the simple glass of water. As the seasons change, hot tea has lost its appeal so a new beverage must take the main spot. Lemon in water makes a flavorful addition. Think of it this way next time the cost seems to high…we casually spend $1 plus tax for a soda almost anywhere (at least). The same money can garnish 3-4 days worth of a drink, plus the rinds do a great job refreshing the garbage disposal when finished. Suddenly the exorbitant cost seems miniscule. Trader Joe’s sold an entire organic bag for $2.99 today. Spring produce. Enjoy it on the table and in your body. Beautiful.
