31 Days Of Decorating With (Re) Purpose- Using Chalkboard Paint On Pumpkins

Let’s step out to the front porch for a minute. My friend had the great idea of using up some chalkboard paint…on our pumpkins! Creating a changing greeting place to welcome guests. Decorating using what you have for a season. Love it.

First wash the pumpkins, and in retrospect, it might have been good to sand the area with a fine grit paper.  Freestyling the leaves didn’t work out so well for me, so we went out and gathered a few from the yard. We were able to secure a large pumpkin leaf for a template.

Decorating with a friend is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. One small can of chalkboard paint is lasting us for many projects. Happy Fall!
