31 Days Of Decorating With (Re) Purpose- Painting Cupboards

Simple Sunday post. And surprisingly simple project. This isn’t a “purposeful” project in the way my others are perhaps, but it sure makes us happy with the results each day. Our bathroom has  an almond colored sink, tub and toilet. Brown toned linoleum. No windows. Green  cheap counters with the most jacked up caulk job ever, in bright white. And, until recently, builders special pressed board vanity cupboards. No natural light didn’t help the dark and dated room.

Hearing how difficult painting cupboards were, a small bathroom seemed like a good start. We are glad we took a chance. The whole room looks different! We had painted the walls the brightest white possible and were hoping for a classier feel.

This paint made it turn out fantastic, seriously. We’d highly recommend it for great coverage.

A one day project turned the whole room into a beautiful space. It toned down the less desirable elements because of how pretty the vanity now looks.

We did spend money on adding hardware, but we found fairly inexpensive ones for about $3 each. Compared to a new vanity? Big savings! We are inspired enough to consider painting our kitchen next spring.

Have you found that a small paint job made a big impact?
