31 Days Of Decorating With (Re) Purpose- Using Old Game Boards

Standard

This project was  actually from a few years ago, but so special I wanted to share it with you. Do you have an old Scrabble board? If not, grab one from a thrift store or garage sale.  They can usually be purchased used for around $1.

Think about words that define your values, your interests, dreams and roles. Using Glue Dots, I took the pieces and created a display. Being personal, something like this is perfect for an office or creative space. Think in broader terms for family areas, school areas, etc.

Oh, and make sure your spelling is correct and the words line up BEFORE you glue them down. Glue Dots, it turns out, are pretty stubborn about releasing things. Maybe you will see how I know. Did I mention I am all about imperfection?

As always, I encourage you to check out the vast array of subjects offered to you in this 31 series by over 1,000 bloggers. Here is the link, see you there.

  1. Love it! I have an old game board on my wall in the family room. Under it, I have wooden old-fashioned pop bottle crates. I love the Scrabble idea!
